JT Group started 58 years ago as J Tomlinson & Co Ltd, a painting and building restoration business by founder Joe Tomlinson.

In the early years Joe was determined to use the latest technology with the introduction of the paint roller in the late 60’s that took over from the paint brush, for faster application of larger surfaces. In the mid 70’s Joe introduced New Zealand’s first airless spray unit that also doubled as a high pressure water blaster. Technology that produced a superior finish with cost savings back to the client.

This openness to technology continues today with JT Group being proud to introduce New Zealand’s first automated building washing machine and our new waterless cleaning system. Technology today that is mindfull of a sustainable future.
